Sind die SIM-Karten für Smartphones, u.a. fürs "Samsung Galaxy 3 GT-I5800", neuerdings im Unterschied zu alten Barrenhandys kleiner geworden? Ist das normal, dass die SIM-Karte, wenn man sie in den Schlitz reinsteckt, halb herauslugt? Schlimm genug, dass ich mir fast die Fingernägel abbreche, um überhaupt den Akkudeckel aufzuklappen. Anderswo gibt's einen Schiebeschalter, hier muss man seine Fingernägel reinschieben, um den Deckel abzuwerfen *argh*.

Also ich habe ein Samsung Galaxy SII und da hatte ich keine Probleme die Simkarte rein zu kriegen.

Auf meinem neuen Thinkpad-Notebook ist kein Windows drauf. Besitzen tue ich lediglich die Upgrade-DVD-ROM von Windows Vista auf Windows 7 (Windows Vista habe ich lediglich als Recovery Edition fürs mit dem Thinkpad inkompatible Dell Inspiron 1520). Wenn Windows Vista an sich günstiger als Windows 7 sein sollte, weil es älter ist: Sollte ich dann Windows 7 oder Windows Vista kaufen und dann upgraden? Was lohnt sich technisch und preislich eher? Warum kostet bei Amazon Windows Vista mehr als Windows 7?

Ich würde für neue Hardware auch das neuere Betriebssystem verwenden. Warum 7 weniger kostet? Angebot & Nachfrage auf dem Amazon Marketplace. Da habe ich schon mal ein Final Fantasy VII (PC) für 1000 € gesehen. Vista hat einfach einen schlechten Ruf.

okay, danke für die Aufklärung. Dann kaufe ich Windows 7. Gibt es Rabattmöglichkeiten? Über die Uni komme ich nicht dran (dem Rechenzentrum zufolge geht das nur für Mitarbeiter, nicht aber für Studierende).

[Nachtrag] MS zufolge reicht fürs Upgrade auch Windows XP aus. Das kostet ja nur 20 €. Warum sollte man überhaupt Windows 7 in der Full-Version kaufen, wenn man mit einem neuen Windows XP und dem Upgrade unter dem Vollpreis eines neuen Windows 7 bleiben kann?

? Eigentlich dachte ich, dass jeder, der einen MSDN-Zugang hat, Seven kostenlos (wie die Office-Pakete) bekommen kann, sofern die Uni Teil des Programmes ist.

zu deinem Nachtrag: Das ist aber eine umständliche Art, erst XP installieren zu müssen und dann mit dem System umzuziehen - ein direktes Update von XP zu Vista oder Seven ist nämlich nicht drin. Mein XP hat auch eine Upgradeoption zu Vista. Nutzen wollte ich diese nie...

Das habe ich auch nicht verstanden, warum zwischen Studierenden und Mitarbeitern differenziert wird. Aber die Ansprechperson vom Rechenzentrum hat meine entsprechende Anfrage zu Windows 7 verneint.
