Naja, wir brauchen wegen Lulzsec & Co. nicht in Paranoia verfallen, uns gar vorschreiben lassen, wie wir wo und wann mit wem kommunizieren. So weit kommt's noch?! Nenene. Das Risiko durch Eindringlinge besteht immer, auch die neueste Webforen-Software wird keinen vollkommenen Schutz garantieren. Zudem: Mit dem Forum sollte kaum mehr als unsere E-Mail-Adresse verknüpft sein. Wenn man nicht gerade für Forum und Mail-Account die gleichen Zugangsdaten verwendet, dann ist der Schaden für uns Nutzer eher gering, oder? Zudem ist fraglich, ob von den noch etwa sechstausend registrierten Mitgliedern verwertbare, sprich missbrauchbare, Daten vorliegen. Mitglieder, die nach ihrer Registrierung über ein Jahr gänzlich inaktiv geblieben sind, weil sie weder was geschrieben noch gelesen haben, werden ohnehin regelmäßig aus der Datenbank getilgt. Der Aufwand, das Forum zu cracken, scheint deshalb in keinem angemessenen Verhältnis zum Nutzen für die Eindringlinge zu stehen.

es geht dabei vielleicht immer um diese Datensätze - um Passwörter für alle möglichen Dienste auszuspähen - in der Regel nutzen die Menschen im Internet oft die selben Passwörter für alle möglichen Accounts - das ist einfach so

Dass oft die gleichen Zugangsdaten und E-Mail-Adressen für diverse Accounts verwendet werden, bestreite ich nicht. Ob daraus konsequent folgen muss, sich gänzlich vom Internet und registrierungspflichtigen Diensten abzukapseln (bzw. für jeden Dienst gänzlich neue Passwörter und Mailadressen einzurichten), muss man selbst abwägen. Mir scheint das zu extrem zu sein - allerdings bin ich anscheinend oder scheinbar noch nicht Opfer dieser Masche - Zugangs- und Mailadress-Daten auszuspähen, um sie mir zulasten zu missbrauchen - geworden.

Ich jedenfalls bin in Zukunft vorsichtiger - zumindest überlege ich mir genau, welche Dienste ich wirklich brauche - ich verzichte seit Februar auch auf meinen alten Account bei Youtube - die Daten muss Google nicht auch noch brühwarm von mir haben.

Wenn dieser Bericht des Spiegel über das Suchverhalten Googles gilt, gelangt Google möglicherweise nach wie vor an das, was du dir anschaust - brühwarm erhalten sie die betreffenden Daten zwar nicht mehr von dir persönlich, nachdem du dich abgemeldet hast und ihnen damit deine Zustimmung entzogen hast. Aber früher oder später erfahren sie dem Spiegel dennoch davon. Wenn alle Internetverbindungen erstmal verschlüsselt sind, geht das vielleicht irgendwann nicht mehr so leicht - weder für Google, die Polizei oder irgendwen anders.
Dennoch beschleicht mich das Gefühl, dass ich Google nach wie vor mehr als anderen vertrauen kann. Google macht keinen Hehl daraus, dass sie meine Daten verwerten, um auf mich zugeschnittene Werbung zu entwickeln, an der sie verdienen. Zugleich bieten sie mir, ihre wachsenden, vielfältigen Kommunikations-, Unterhaltungs-, Recherche- und Forschungsdienste uneingeschränkt zu nutzen: an jedem Ort, zu jeder Zeit, gratis und gleichgültig, in welcher körperlichen, geistigen, seelischen und nicht zuletzt materiellen Konstitution ich mich befinde. Das unterscheidet Google, wie mir scheint, wesentlich von vielen anderen Datensammlern: Banken, Versicherungen, diversen staatlichen Institutionen. Und mehr als letztere scheinen sie auf den Schutz dieser Daten, die Googles Kapital bilden, zu achten. Weder mündet die Kenntnis der Daten für Google darin, meinen Aktionsradius zu beschneiden und mich zu belästigen, noch geht Google damit hausieren und verkauft die Daten an den Meistbietenden.
