Ich vermute, dass man das noch nicht sagen kann, solange in anderen Ländern keine Meldungen über stark gestiegene radioaktive Strahlung veröffentlicht werden.
Wenn allerdings ein ähnlicher Fallout wie 1986 die umliegenden Landstriche verseucht (Südostasien), dann wird die dortige Population auf jeden Fall viel Leid erfahren.
Ich frage mich, was die Autoren des Neuen Testaments zu so einer Entwicklung geäußert hätten? Der Niedergang der Menschheit sollte doch bestimmt nicht durch Radioaktivität erfolgen, die den Menschen der Antike auf jeden Fall nicht bekannt gewesen sein dürfte (kein menschlicher Sinn kann diese erfassen).

Kann man noch verhindern, dass die umliegenden Länder von den radioaktiven Gaswolken erfasst werden? Kann man die betreffenden Gase binden und so die Natur und Menschen in Japan, Korea, China und u.a. Russland vor der Kontamination damit schützen?

Diese Kräfte sind die der Natur, und der Mensch kann die Natur nicht beherrschen, so viel sieht man ja immer wieder. Ich kann die Frage daher überhaupt gar nicht beantworten.
Ich bin mir nur in einer Sache sicher, und zwar dass die Freiwilligen Helfer in Fukushima sich ihrer Lage bewusst sind und die höhere Sache über ihr eigenes Leben stellen. So bitter das auch klingen mag...

Was deine Frage bezüglich des Neuen Testaments betrifft: Möchtest du etwas andeuten? Wenn ja, was? Im Neuen Testament geht es ja hauptsächlich um die Geschichte Jesu, um die Topoi Nächstenliebe, die Vergebung der Sünden, die Gnade Gottes gegenüber den Menschen und die Auferstehung von den Toten. Daher fällt mir spontan nicht ein, inwiefern das Neue Testament auf den Super-GAU bezogen werden könnte.

Ich meinte damit die "Apokalypse", welche irgendwann ins neue Testament aufgenommen wurde. Darin geht es ja um das Ende der Welt.

selbst wenn du nichts auf die Idee der Apokalypse in der früh-christlichen Interpretation des Wirkens und der Lehre Jesu gibst: Welche Interpretation ließe der Super-GAU in Verbindung mit der christlichen Apokalypse deiner Meinung nach zu? Die Tatsache, dass du diese Verbindung zwischen christlicher Apokalypse und Super-GAU in Japan gezogen hast, weist darauf hin, dass du selbst zumindest bereits etwas vermutest. Was vermutest du?

Ich vermute einfach nur, dass die Kirche nicht weiß, wie sie auf einen Super-Gau reagieren sollte. Er bringt ja keine "Reinigung" der Welt von den Menschen für eine neue Welt Gottes - sie wird einfach geschändet.
Ich hatte einfach nur kein passendes Bild im Kopf und habe mich gefragt, wie das aussehe mag (Bild: Die Priester am Ende der Antike sehen sich einem Super-Gau ausgesetzt, dessen Gefährdung sie nicht erkennen können.)
