Wenn du weiterhin fragst nach dem Laserschwert, muss ich mir langsam Gedanken machen, ob nicht die Klage über den Stress, die Diplomprüfung zu organisieren, der wahre Aprilscherz ist: Immerhin findest du die Muße, Assassin´s Creed 2, Mass Effect 2 und Metro 2033 zu spielen. :rolleyes:

was zu Fahrrädern, ifrit,
da du gemäß deines Profils gern Mountainbike fährst (oh, ich seh gerade in deinem Profil, da steht nur "Radfahren". Stand da nicht mal "Mountainbiken"?), gemäß Wikipedia die Stadt Graz als fahrradfreundlich beschrieben wird und gemäß deiner Aussagen hier im tb-Thread Graz und Umgebung relativ flach sind: Musst du an deiner Kettenschaltung viel machen - vorausgesetzt, du fährst auch auf befestigten Straßen/Fahrradwegen?
Ich frage, weil ich beabsichtige, ein neues Fahrrad zu kaufen. Aktuell habe ich noch ein 26-Zoll-All-Terrain-Bike mit 7-Gang-Nabenschaltung. Nachdem ich mit dem leichten 28-Zoll-Trekking-Bike meines Bruders (Marke: Stevens, 8-Gang-Shimano-Nexus-Schaltung) hin und wieder gefahren bin, bin ich auf den Geschmack gekommen, auch ein 28-Zoll-Rad (leichtes Trekking- oder Crossbike) zu kaufen. Ich hab mich auch im Internet, in Radforen, usw. seit mehreren Monaten informiert, aber ich bin mir noch immer nicht sicher, ob es was mit Naben- oder Kettenschaltung oder kombinierter Ketten- und Nabenschaltung sein soll. Nabenschaltung hat wenig Verschleiß, aber ist vergleichsweise teuer. Da ich maximal 800 € zahlen will, müsste ich dann bei den anderen Komponenten Abstriche machen. Kettenschaltung ist hingegen relativ günstig, aber mit höherem Verschleiß, wie dem oft nachgesagt wird. Klar, kann ich dann vorm Kauf noch das jeweilige Bike auf Probe fahren, aber diese Frage nach dem Verschleiß werd ich wohl kaum binnen einer einstündigen Probefahrt klären. Und mir ist die Beantwortung dieser Frage wichtig, weil ich das Fahrrad dann auch lange, wenigstens zehn Jahre nutzen möchte, bis ich mir wieder Gedanken um ein neues machen will. Ich bin daher sehr interessiert an persönlichen Erfahrungen anderer Radfahrer.

Graz ist flach, die Umgebung eher nicht. Graz hat ne Kessellage und ist umgeben von Hügeln und kleineren Bergen. Aber egal.
Also mein Rad ist ein Genesis Ares ASX Mountainbike, ist mittlerweile an die 11 Jahre alt und hat blos ne Kettenschaltung (Shimano) die eigentlich immer noch gut in Schuß ist.
Klar zeigt das Rad bereits Verschleiß in Form von abgenutzten Zahnrädern ect. , aber es war immer noch Touren tauglich. Allerdings hat der letzte Winter glaub ich das langsame sterben des Rades bewirkt. War der erste Winter bei dem ich es auch bei Schneefahrbahn benutzt habe und das ganze Salz hat dem alten Teil nicht gut getan. Aber 11 Jahre, was will man mehr?

du musst also nicht nach jeder Tour (Tagestouren) Hand anlegen und was an der Schaltung und den Zahnrädern rumfummeln?

Nein, hab ich noch nie. Allerdings ist mir vor ein paar Jahren die Grippshift-Schaltung eingegangen. Das hab ich dann aber in ner Werkstatt neu einbauen lassen. Keine Ahnung, denk mal schon das die da die Schaltung nachgestellt haben.
Aber nach ner Tour hatte ich noch nie Probleme. Generell war das Rad immer sehr pflegeleicht. Die Bremsen mußten ich letztens neu einstellen, aber mit der Schaltung gabs bis auf das eine mal nie Probs.
By the way, was für Erfahrung hast du mit Scheibenbremsen gemacht, wenn du welche gemacht hast? Ein Freund von mir hat sowas, und meinte das geht da nicht mehr so leicht zum selbstjustieren wie bei V-Breaks. Zudem ist eine seiner Scheiben nicht ganz plan, was ebenfalls zu Problemen führt.
